I have NO clue what this means.
Just watching - I liked it when Bruce Willis came to rehearsal
We are finally there - I like Willow but hated the ninja routine - it was clunky and awkward
Willow’s reaction to being eliminated is why I don’t like 14yo’s on the show.
Eyemamom, I agree, I think it’s too young.
Seems to me like the costume get-ups are Mark’s “thing”, whether or not it suits his partner. It’s him indulging in his own creativity and I just don’t care for it. It’s one thing to break it out from time to time, but to bring it to the dance floor for every routine is tedious. It seems like it’s his answer to trying to stand out in a different way than Derek.
It’s a disservice to his partner because he’s putting what he “always wanted to do” above what his partner needs to advance. Who cares if he’s wanted to do a ninja dance since he was 5? That’s not her problem.
I think I enjoy Derek most when he has a challenge to overcome. I like when he has to get creative and that is probably what, for me, had been missing from his earlier dances this season.
As with all of the various talent shows, one of the stronger contestants always gets voted off at about this point in the season. Mark and Willow must have been really short on fan votes to go after winning the extra dance off points.
Parentofpeople, wow, you’re so right about a strong dancer being eliminated about this point in the season. But I think the elimination is based on last weeks votes, not this week. Btw, I didn’t care formtheirmdance off routine as much as I liked Riker and Allisons, but they got all the judges votes.
I’m not always an advocate of political correctness but the Ninja costumes were just too eerily similar to well… you-know-what. It gave me the chills.
Willow’s reaction was a relief. I thought she was going to verbally lose her composure, unless they edited it out for the west coast viewers.
Riker and Allison lost their dance-off after choosing first? As if Rumer and Val needed a bigger lead than they already have by getting another 2 points on them.
I liked Riker and Allison’s dance off dance but, as odd as it seems, Riker had very little “hip action” for a samba. He was more posing and showing off Allison’s fringe.
I’m with Len on being tired of the giant group numbers and all the backing dancers
Yes, agree with Len, too many people on stage.
Juliana, was your dress on backward last night?
Carrie Ann, were you tipsy?
Will watch the faves from the last 10 years dancing tonight.
No Cheryl though.
I’m curious about why some of these pros are now gone…did they choose to leave or do they get tossed out for newer younger ones?
Sometimes there are rifts over how they are treated, I think Edyta wanted her husband in the show more and wanted a life outside of the show. Others have a lot going on elsewhere. I read Cheryl’s book and she has all kinds of entrepreneurial endevours from restaurants, real estate, clothing, videos, ect. She lives a big life, many of them do, I think. Derek and Julianne tried to transition the dancing into other careers with mediocre success, so they stick it’s what they do best.
I look forward to the anniversary show tonight!
Can’t wait to see Hines Ward again. What a smile!
Son goes to college in Pittsburgh, we are big Hines (and Heinz) fans, too.
Did you notice that the twitter vote went completely the other way though? I think Riker and Allison had 68% so I guess in general the fans like them much better and voted that way last week.
Once my glasses unfogged after seeing Kelly Monaco in her bikini, I really enjoyed the 10th anniversary show!
Yeah, that bikini was (not) a little much.
I enjoyed the show as well. Sure missed seeing Derek, though. Poor guy.
It was really strange not seeing Derek. I also missed not seeing some of the pro dancers from the earlier years.
