The last time I watched this was when Marie Osmond was on. I was planning on watching it this time because I really like Christy Brinkley. Just found out she broke her arm in rehearsals and is out. Her younger daughter will take her place, but what a bummer.
I have to say I thought Marie Osmond was really a funny and fun woman. I found her so amusing on the backstage interviews.
Conspiracy theorists, led by Wendy Williams (How you doin’) say the injury was faked in order to get Sailor on the show.

Regardless, I wish Christie a speedy recovery. Although her face and body may not look 65, her bones sure are.
We started watching when Shawn Johnson was on since she’s from our area. My youngest DD fell in love with Derek Hough… We’ve watched most episodes since then so I plan on catching it tonight. It’s about the only tv show I make a point to watch.
I’m DVRing. I think this is the best cast in years.

I watched the show tonight… worst dancing since the show started. As for Christie Brinkley ironic that they got the fall on tape. Pure luck?
Back to basics. Dancing may have been worse because the judges are requesting the dances conform to type instead of being entertaining only. Good to see- recent years were somewhat of a joke with following the rules. Some years stars see4m to all have had dance experience. Back to seeing improvement over the weeks to come. Refreshing.
The scoring for elimination has also changed- less of a popularity contest after the last season’s fiasco.
The show was on a bad trajectory and I’m happy to see the changes.
They always (or almost always) have camera crews in rehearsals.
DWTS has arguably jumped the shark many times over the years,but Bobby Bones winning the Mirrorball?!?! There’s an analogy in there somewhere.
