howdy, i’m going to be an imcomming freshman to CAS. looking at the housing options, i’m most intrigued by danielsen - but i’m not sure about living so far from the main campus – does anyone know f’r sure whether 'r not it’s too much hassle to be worth it?

Well, the ‘T’ is really helpful, esp. in the snow, lol… It shouldn’t be too much of a problem…

It’s not thaaaat far. I mean, it will be a sucky walk to CAS in the snow especially, but it’s a lot more quieter, and is in a nice neighborhood. Even the T stop is a little walk from this building, but the BU shuttle has a stop at Danielsen that will take you to marsh plaza and fitrec area at west campus.

Don’t be left out of the loop check out what current students are saying about their dorms.

Made for students by students & best of all It’s completly free.

Danielsen is 3-5 minutes (door to door) from the Dining Hall at Myles-Standish. It’s quite quiet with large rooms, but the real detriment in my opinion is the walk in February. It’s a fun area, seemlesly couched into Back Bay and feet from Newbury St.; but, it is not hard to feel a little isolated from the campus and might not be ideal for a freshman looking to make lots of friends.

Stick with Warren or West your first year unless you do specialty housing. It may be noisy but you’ll make lots of friends. Next year you can go for the private bathrooms and nicer dorms.

I entirely agree with sincere.
