DARDEN vs. KENAN-FLAGLER

Hello, I am trying decide in between attending between Darden (UVA) and Kenan-Flagler (UNC). I was hoping if people could give some feedback on both full time MBA programs and what people feel in terms of the advantages one school may over the other.

I am deciding between b-schools too. Here’s my 2c based on visits and talking to students.

Both are smaller programs. Darden is the other school that uses case method exclusively and isn’t called HBS. Personally, I just don’t see myself thrive in that classroom environment so I took HBS and Darden off my list. My impression has always been Darden students are very collegiate and close-knit, but less cult-like (compared to the Tuckies). In many ways, they resemble students at the Johnson School (Cornell). Also, Darden students tend to be very self select, i.e. you should know by now if it is THE place for you. Make another visit if you may, otherwise go to UNC. You are going to get the same education at either place. I definitely recommend going to the best-fit or right environment.
