<p>was just telling my kids about Dark Shadows, how it was the original vampire show. I had the biggest crush on Quentin. I could see Johnny Depp in his role. my friend would come over any afternoon she could to watch together, definitely something about watching it together, little cultish. we soon got into Ouija boards too. memorable times as teens…</p>

My best friend and I in junior high would run home to watch Dark Shadows.

<p>I watched Dark Shadows when I was really little, like 6. My sister was ten years older than me and it was her job to pick me up and bring me home from elem. sch. Mom was at work.
When we got home, we watched what she wanted to see which was of course Dark Shadows! I can remember talking to other kids at sch. about DS so I wasn’t the only little kid watching it. We would even play DS on the playground.
I was often afraid to go to bed at night because I was sure Barnabas Collins was hiding somewhere in my dark room.</p>

<p>Johnny Depp is too young to play Barnabas. He’s a better fit for Quintin. The role of Barnabas needs someone like Sean Connery.</p>

<p>Gosh yes, I was in elementary school and my mom would not let me watch…but it was so very easy to go over to the girlsfriend house after school and “catch it.” I think we might have stopped watching it the last year or two, I honestly can’t remember watching it in middle school.</p>

<p>I loved Dark Shadows! Loved Barnabas Collins and wanted to name my first daughter, Angelique… Of course changed my mind later : )</p>

<p>I agree Depp is too young- but according to wiki- he was obsessed as a child ( I was 10 when I watched Dark Shadows and I know Depp is younger than me)</p>

<p>It came on after " where the action is"- I had to walk home from school- but I made sure I was home by 4:00.
