Does Darthmouth give good financial aid

Among the best if you have demonstrated need and are a US citizen.

Dartmouth (might want to learn the name before you write those essays…), like all ivies, will meet 100% of your need. This means when you get your efc (expected family contribution…there are online calculators that you can estimate your efc now before you fill out the fafsa) if Dartmouth accepts you they will give you enough financial aid to cover the efc (this will normally come in the form of grants, loans, and workstudy). So try one of the EFC calculators and the number you get is what Dartmouth will expect your family to pay (usually it is the EFC+2500 (student summer work expectation)= total family contribution).

Here is a calculator I found on Dartmouth’s website: http://www.dartmouth.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/~admissns/dfce.cgi

Dartmouth’s financial aid calculator is pretty accurate so I agree with js, that you should run your numbers through the calculator.
