Dartmouth 2015 Hopefuls

Does anyone know if it’s okay to send in an 3rd letter of teacher’s reference? On the Common app school forms section, there’s only space for two, so I wouldn’t be able to add a third name… should I just mail it and let that be it? Thank you so much!!
and good luck everyone!

Hey guys, Toivo here all the way from Namibia, Africa. I am an ED applicant. I was deferred last year, so i thought maybe I should take a year off, do some comm service and apply again. Looking forward to meeting people that have the same passion as moi for the Big Green!

@Austrianpog: Well two is the requirement. So its not really necessary eh, but you wanted just send a copy to the admin office. That is what i did with my additional info. Hope we both make it!

awesome,
I’m applying ED too.
i submitted my app last Saturday so I’m crossing my fingers
I feel like this next month will go by very very slowly >:(

Is it December yet? Hope to see everyone next fall! :D

So, if youguys get in are you going to try to go Dimensions. I hear it’s amazing and even though we don’t get to go for free, I think I’m going to try to make it.
Apparently they have a program called discover dartmouth too?

Hi, I just applied ED and recieved a likely letter for admission the other day which made me very excited! I was wondering about Dimensions too. I first heard about it today as a matter of fact and have absolutely no clue what it is.

whaaat, likely letters already? But, I thought they were still processing all info :open_mouth: I didn’t know they were even reading yet.

are you a recruited athlete or something?

haha yeah no worry its for athletics, nothing out of the ordinary yet.

oh thats cool, for what sport?

track. I have to say that it was wicked stressful right up until i got that letter

awesome! I run too but I’m probably not continuing in college, what are your events/times?

You should definitely try to do it if youre seriously into running still. Ive heard how hard of a transition it can be to drop sports from your life in college. Plus there’s no doubt it would be fun. I throw jav and my pr is in the high 180s. What do you run/have for times?

oh nice, javelin sounds really fun! I really, really, love to run but I’m not that competitive for D1 schools.
umm my best events are sprint races so I run the 100m , 200m, 300m and 400m.
200 (26.45)
100 (13.36)
300 (43.44)
400 (59.45)
I was thinking of joining a club in college but probably nothing competitive. I might try to walk on, once I get to college.
Anyways congratulations on Dartmouth! Hopefully, I’ll see you next year haha

Thats good to hear. Sports are such a big part for me too. Yeah i wasn’t sure if i was going to be able to d1, but went for it and it turned out well. Thank you hope to see you there as well. Good luck with which ever college you end up choosing, hoepfully dartmouth!

I applied to Dartmouth ED last week and I just had my interview–which went really well! So, we’ll see what happens! Good luck to everyone.

@ Toivo- thanks! good luck to you too!

God, sounds like everyone is in eh… well by the sound of the interviews and all!!! hahaha! well, yeah its a month left, well some of us get the result sooner than that, much sooner. God its crazy!

@Austrainpog; not a problem. Just make sure they get the docs. Contact the admin office and just double check, eh.

so i heard that the ED decision sometimes comes out before dec. 15 for some of the other ivies. does anyone know about dartmouth?

Dartmouth released decisions on December 8th last year. It could be earlier or later this year. Does anyone know when they announced the decision date last year (like the day they announced they would be releasing decisions on 12/8)?
