I’m so excited for Dartmouth ED. My current stats aren’t upto the mark but I’m giving the ACT and SAT 2 BOTH in October to make in time for the Nov 1 deadline. I’ll probably send in my previous SAT score(1920! Yikes) as Dartmouth considers the best for the application. Whoa, and my midterms start in like 10 days. So freaked out as I still haven’t started revising!
I was wondering if I can ask my sister to write my peer rec. I’ve been kinda out of touch with my social group this year and dont want someone who knew me till my sophomore year to write a rec for me. Is that ok? Or it is better if it is not someone from your immediate family?

I can’t really decide between Duke or Dartmouth… Any opinions?

On the other hand, I took the ACT today and I feel really good about it. What is the general score range of accepted students to Dartmouth…? Also, I come from a relatively small town and our high school doesn’t have the best reputation so I’m feeling almost as if I don’t stand a chance at either school… Do you think the high school you graduate from has any effect on your acceptance…?

The middle 50% of the accepted students in 2008-2009 got 30-34 on the ACT, with a median of 33.

hey CC’ers. Peer rec…is D the only Ivy that requires it?

^ Yep. And Big Green is also the only Ivy League school that doesn’t require an additional essay besides Harvard.

Does anyone know if you’re supposed to snail mail the Peer Rec? I don’t see any place for it on the Common App supplement.

So now that my plans for Brown ED fell apart, I’ve grown fond of Dartmouth. I’m slightly afraid that I will physically transform into a popsicle if I were to live in Hanover, however. In California, 50 degrees is considered freezing…

The weather is definitely something that scares me to death. shudders

Every school in the northeast is ****ing frigid in the winter.

I am going to ED at Dartmouth but I did a mistake. In future plans section I chose ED but in supplement section I chose RD by accident. I didnt see it when I submitted it. Will I considered as ED candidate??

I send them an e-mail but they didnt answer me. :/

Nevermind I got my answer! :)

Another Dartmouth ED applicant! All my stats are up to par and I think my letters of rec and peer evaluation will be too. I’m so anxious… I just want to get in! Good luck everyone… hope to see you all in Hanover in 2011!

Another Dartmouth hopeful!! I’m considering applying ED even though it’s a high reach for me. I’ll decide after I get my SAT scores back. Good luck everyone!

Hey guys, I applied ED last year as well, and I’m loving Dartmouth. I wish everyone the best of luck, and even if things don’t work out, there are plenty of amazing colleges out there!

I just applied ED to Dartmouth. Now that I’ve sent it out, I can just let the universe deal with it. I want to get in SO bad. I love it there so much
