My personal opinion:

  1. Domestic + full pay + long = rejection. because why would they want to schedule a fin aid meeting when youā€™re full pay.
  2. Domestic + full pay + short = rejection/WL
  3. Domestic + aid + long = accept
  4. Domestic + aid + short = accept/WL

international i dont know. But again take it w a grain of salt. My Uchicago portal astrology showed me getting accepted/rej and I got WL.

Also. I just realized. If most domestic people who are full pay and getting short message, and you are getting long msg, thatā€™s a good sign. Or the opposite of what most are getting. Since AR is 6%.

This does not make a lot of sense to me to be honest. Why do all your scenarios involve all full-pay people being rejected/waitlisted and all FA people being accepted/waitlisted? I donā€™t think thereā€™s any evidence for this.

No yeah sorry I take it back, but i think generally if you have the opposite of what people have (so many domestic full pays are having the dimensions msg), that is good. So I actually think the full pay domestic who have the long msg may get it.

I agree that having the opposite of what most people have is good. But I doubt which one is good is different between FA and full pay. Considering that a bunch of people who are accepted ED have the Dimensions message, it seems to me that the most likely this is that the sample on College Confidential is just unusually strong full-pay students.

apparently there was people ed that also had dimensions message that were rejected unless I read wrong bc they kept using ā€œfull messageā€ so idk what they were referring to.

No, full message and short message are the same message. Full refers to the meetings being full. The we are excited one is the calendar one. This is why weā€™ve now started using the terms dimensions and calendar.

It gets confusing because some people used ā€˜fullā€™ to mean long.

thats what im saying I dont know what other were referring to earlier in this chain like around 60-90/250 messages but for going forward we are using dimensions and calender

Itā€™s totally possible that 3 people on here or even 5 people could have gotten in. We need a larger sample size. Also the 3 people were intl and they have a lower AR so that skews the data.

Okay wait let me add my acceptances too for context.
Domestic, full pay, calendar. Accepted UCLA berkeley regents (early) and other scholarships, all UCs mostly, USC, georgetown. Rejected JHU, WL UChicago and some other schools (not very good for major)

guys I totaled them all and this is my results not taking into account international vs domestic or full pay vs aid but its pretty much 50/50: 11 dimensions and 12 calender :sweat_smile:
