Can I suggest adding a “International or domestic?” criteria for these threads? I think Dartmouth especially would benefit from this because of its recent international need-blind policy and thus increased international applications.

My child applied ED to Dartmouth and received an invite for an interview with an alum. Does anyone have any tips or insight?

GPA: 4.9
AC: 34 superscore
Major: Dual Engineering + Spanish
EC: TA for Spanish 5 after 2 years college Spanish during high school, reinstated/president of Spanish club, awards in Model UN, NHS, Dual enrollment local R1 university and part time work as graduate field researcher; National Interscholastic Cycling Team, summer work as camp counselor, trail building volunteer

Can’t say for Dartmouth, but for Stanford, interviewers are mostly assigned based on availability. No major influence on decision, but helps flesh out specifics. Advice is to be oneself, have a bit of fun while advocating for oneself, use it as opportunity to ask questions, really determine if this is right school for you.

How is everyone doing? I think the ED decision will be out on Dec 13th (Friday).

Any date change in your financial aid portal?
Any emails from the financial aid office?
Any other indication?

Fri, Dec. 13th is my guess too, based upon the past couple of years.

No date changes for me yet but I got “Federal Verification Form” added late November? Anyone else?

Date changed late Nov and the Federal form also appeared.

All the forms changed?

I saw on reddit that someone got the financial aid email, anyone else here?

Another question, I had a “date change” that just shows the last time the financial aid office emailed me to ask about something on my forms and I clarified that thing (11/12) and not when I uploaded documents. Is this a sign for anything? I didn’t check before but I think it’s been like that since 11/12.

I didn’t receive that email but I’m an international student who used the ISFAA rather than the CSS profile.

Does an email from the financial aid office about a missing form count? I got it in November after submitting the ISFAA.

I think the date changes whenever you update something. 11/12 seems too early for it to mean anything.

My son’s Dartmouth portal now says: “Final Stages of Early Decision Process.” And, we are no longer able to see his application contents or withdraw his application. Not sure if this is an indication of anything. Decisions must be coming soon.
