Dartmouth College Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission

While I think getting an email asking for docs is a good sign, I think not getting an email is not necessarily a bad sign. Maybe they have everything they need?

All this speculation about reading all the tea leaves is just that. Speculation. Getting emails, not getting emails. Some people say they got in, some people say they didn’t, most never say one way or the other.

So my advice is just keep your fingers crossed and realize that it’s mostly just one big lottery and your daughter will be just fine either way.

Good luck!

Can see all tabs, no financial aid email… Is it over?
( I did give an interview and they even approached my school for some extra info)

There is speculation that if you can see all tabs that it may be a sign of deferral (take this with a grain of salt!).

Do you have any sources or information that hint towards this or is this just purely speculation

id just say wait for the decision. it is what it is.

I do NOT have any verifiable sources for this, which is why I said it is mere speculation. I read it on another anonymous platform.

saw someone say that all tabs might mean they haven’t decided on our application yet (which seems unlikely at this point since decisions are probably less than a week at max from now). From the poll on Reddit about 25/80 ppl were saying they saw all tabs, so idk, it probably means nothing

ED decision date announcement has happened between 4:00PM and 5:00PM on Wednesday for the past two years. Any idea if that will happen today?

Can you name the platform if you don’t mind?

Hopefully… It’s too late at this point honestly :disappointed:

Official: December 13 at 3:00PM

The date and time is finally confirmed!! It’s 3.00 PM ET, December 13

I still have all the tabs on my portal, how about you guys??

I have only have the home and financial aid tabs. The home tab just says that the admissions office is in the final stages of the reveiw process and the financial aid tab has looked the same the whole time except all the dates on the documents changed about a week and a half ago.

Same situation here. Only Home and Financial Aid tabs. Dates for fin aid docs changed yesterday (prior to that they were marked Oct date).

Do you think the “all tabs” people are deferrals?
And the “financial aid tabs only” people (plus the “no tabs” for those who didn’t apply for aid) are the acceptances and denials all mixed in together?

This makes sense to me and the numbers seem to match up.

i mean honestly, just wait for the decision. anything can happen.

Does Dartmouth announce how many people get deferred each year? Apparently they deferred 32% and denied 39% of applicants in 2016

Yes!! Only one day left anyway (:

I hardly think so

yeah i think you might be right. A lot of ppl who are getting fin aid emails or date changes have just 2 tabs so it might mean acceptance or rejection for those people. Numbers also seem to match up, dartmouth defers around 30-40% ED applicants I think and from that poll yesterday around 40% people had all tabs
