Dartmouth '29 here - if yourself/your student needs any help editing/proofreading essays, let me know!
Chance me feedback wanted. 4.0 unweighted/4.5 weighted GPA, very large urban high school in Upstate NY, 1500 SAT (760/740), Eagle Scout (age 13 class of 2022), 8 varsity letter 2x team captain, boys state participant, 710 service hours, JROTC Battalion Commander, JROTC Cadet of the Year and Superior Cadet, 2x volunteer staff member for National Youth Leadership Training (Scouting of America), NCBI Certified. What are my ED chances?
All this time and no one has responded to you??!
Let me give it a crack. FWIW, I’m a parent of a ‘28 to take my opinion with as much salt as you like.
You don’t mention what AP classes/scores you’ve taken so putting that aside, I’d say your ED chances are….you’re a competitive applicant.
I think the ROTC stuff will play well. Dartmouth, like many others, is trying to get more viewpoint diversity on campus.
Good luck!
can i get some help? with my common app essay
Thanks for your reply. AP results - World History - 3, European History - 4, US History - 4, AP Language and Composition - 5. This year I am taking AP Economics, Literature, Chemistry and Calculus BC.
I also have a conditional appointment to West Point but would prefer to study at Dartmouth.
