dartmouth interview questions

what are some typical dartmouth interview questions?

My on campus interview was really informal. He asked about what I did, what ECs were really important to me, what I thought I wanted to do with my life. The only really unique question was when he asked me what I would choose to do if Dartmouth agreed to pay for a gap year.

Here is the guide Dartmouth offers to the alumni interviewers-

It really depends on the person, too, as you will also learn after having different interviews for different schools. Some interviewers like to grill you a little, others just want to get to know you and make sure you’re not a jerk. Interviews really don’t count for that much, just be yourself and you’ll be fine.

the alumi interview means nothing unless you come off as a real jerk…someone said it can never help you and once in a blue moon it hurts a candidate…so dont get overly nervous
also there is a good rule of alumni interviews…have questions ready about the interviewer’s days at dartmouth…was he a frat brother…was she a member of singing groips, their doc trip…etc…they love talking about their good times at dartmouth
