Dartmouth or Amherst (In relation to campus culture, major, overall experience, etc)

If two schools are pretty close in prestige, I don’t don’t think it should be a deciding factor. (and maybe it never should be, except in cases of extreme disparity)

But for what it’s worth, I think that Dartmouth and Amherst are about equally prestigious colleges.

If you believe that the CS offerings at Amherst are enough to slake your thirst, then I think you should definitely go there based on your preference for its culture.

Dartmouth is not more prestigious than Amherst.

In the end it’s not going to be which college you went to that will matter, but it will be who you are and what you have to offer that will matter. So, the question is where are you more likely to thrive? Either will provide the resources to support your growth. It’s about where you feel more comfortable. Your father already went to college. This is your turn. So choose the one that feels right to you, and don’t look back. Go forward.

Don’t spend four years like that.

What’d you pick?

I ended up picking Amherst! It was a tough choice, but I think that Dartmouth is always an option for graduate school, and Amherst just seems like the place for undergrad for me :3
