<p>I’ve been researching Dartmouth recently and was intrigued by the Dartmouth Plan. I wanted to know if students are forced into certain quarters because only certain classes are offered during specific quarters.Thanks.</p>
<p>It is certainly possible. The first and second year Russian language sequences, for example, are offered only in 1-2-3 order during the FWS terms. So if you take off one of those terms, you have to wait until that term next year to pick up the sequence. I have no idea how common this is in other departments.</p>
