Dartmouth Student Named American Rhodes Scholar elect for 2006

<p>Alison Crocker (2006), Poughkeepsie, New York, is a Dartmouth double major in physics and mathematics. An All-American cross-country skier, she hopes to qualify for the 2006 Winter Olympics. She also rowed on the U.S. junior national rowing team. She did summer research at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, where she built and tested a proof-of-concept ice detection system for aircraft. Ali plans to do a doctorate in Astrophysics at Oxford.</p>
