I am looking for a school to study archaeology and physical/biological anthropology. These two seem like they would be best for me, but does one have anything notably better than the other? Program, classes, size, teachers, opportunities, etc.

University of Cleveland for archaeology. Ranked 1.

“does one have anything notably better than the other?”

Stanford has Palo Alto (+1)
Dartmouth has New Hampshire (-1)

(I’m from New England.)

They’re very different and for different types of students…both are excellent in those departments and others too, but you have to consider which one fits. Personally Dartmouth is a big favorite of mine, but hey, it’s not for everyone.

I’ve always felt Dartmouth is a standout - my brother attended and had a simply amazing undergraduate experience. I unfortunately wasn’t accepted, but Dartmouth’s value is that is really does coddle and throw resources at its undergrads. I would take a very close look. Stanford is great, but I think that its probably best for someone looking to major in CS or engineering and is into the tech scene in the Valley. For a major like Anthro Dartmouth is awesome.

Apply to both and the admissions officers will make the decision for you.
Not saying…Just saying…
