Which one will pay more initially and over time?
My opinion: Actuary seems like the better route in terms of both pay and prestige. What are your thoughts?
To be an actual data scientist, not just assistant or something, you will need a PhD or at least a Master’s.
Agree @Mandalorian, but let’s not forget that the road to actuarial qualification also extends well beyond the undergraduate degree. An actuarial degree never made anyone an actuary.
