So I’m starting at 22 years old. Started this summer and I’m taking 17 units in the fall. I recently had a pretty bad breakup. We had plans to move out together ect. Her parents didn’t like me at all and made our life hell. Anyways It’s been 5 months since the breakup and I went on two dates with the same girl. We were not vibing or getting along. I used to fight in MMA and I have a messed up nose and jaw which I’m working on getting fixed but it’s not even an emotional thing at this point it’s just logical… I’m not attractive at this point because of all the trauma. I’m worried I’m not going to be able to date in college. My face will be fixed in 1.5 years time all together with insurance covering surgery. Does dating happen naturally in college or should I really be putting an effort to put myself out there?
You need to put yourself out there. This isn’t high school, where you talk to everyone in your classes on a daily basis. (At least for me, dating in high school always happened naturally by getting to know people in my classes.)
I would say that it is very common to find many couples on college campuses. With that said, you DO have to put in some effort. College is a big place- I’m sure you will find someone! Good luck with your nose and jaw!!
I’ve known my fair share of unattractive people in great relationships, and they didn’t even have the cool excuse of “face messed up in potentially awesome MMA fight.” You’ll be fine!
Dont do it bro
Princess Ann’s daughter married a guy with a broken nose, for the wedding, she offered to pay money to fix his nose but he wouldn’t want to. Don’t worry about your nose, especially it’s going to be fixed.
It’s spelled “Anne” and I believe she asked him to fix his nose, but didn’t offer to pay for it. He refused, and since his nose has been broken 8 times, and had previously has surgery for it, he might have thought this was a waste of money. As he and his wife bought their first home for £800,000, it’s unlikely that if he wanted it that he’s need the money from his MIL.
