Daughter is hearbroken...crush heading to college

When I was a freshman, my closest friends were seniors or older. When I was a senior, I always laughed at the “upperclassmen” who thought there was a giant difference between their grade and the grades they were in a couple years before. It does come down to maturity level, and alleging that two people both past the age of reason cannot be “equals” is kind of funny.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t have dated a freshman, but just because the older are generally more mature doesn’t mean that there aren’t some younger people who are more mature than many who are older. It does come down to an individual basis, as most things do; people vary too much to make such generalizations.</p>
