Hi any word on when RD decisions might come out? What has Davidson typically done in the past? Thanks!

Last year it was announced March 23rd 2024. So if they keep up with the trend, we should hear back next Saturday!!

I heard people’s portals are different and I dont know what it means. Mine has a financial aid tab (that I dont think was there before) and doesnt say the “Under Review” thing anymore. Is that the same as everybody else’s?

Quite shocked that my daughter got in! She was 99 percent sure she was going to choose Tulane. Such different environments but I feel she’d be happy either place! Guess it’s time for some visits!

Congrats! What are her stats, if you don’t mind sharing?
I think gpa around 4.8ish? Takes the hardest curriculum school offers for the most part (small private). Didn’t submit test scores. Very busy excurricularly but doing normal stuff like sports and student council. I think her biggest concerns about Davidson is whether it’s fun socially. She knows some people there so will have a chance to explore that I guess.
Congrats to your daughter! C25 waitlisted–this weekend’s decisions have been brutal, though C is refusing to be dispirited. (Valedictorian, Student Body President, National Merit Finalist, 4.0 UW, 5.0 weighted, 8 AP, 8 college classes, 1510 SAT.)

It’s crazy. Her decisions last night were not positive (wake and W&L). I think it works out the way it’s supposed to but it’s hard getting there. I know your child will have many great options.
Thanks! C does have two good options–for which we’re grateful. But the steady drumbeat of rejection this last week has been hard to take, and there’s presumably more to come, with the reachiest reaches of all this week.

My son with almost identical stats was also waitlisted…4.0 UW, valedictorian, NMF, 35 ACT, 1510 SAT, lots of EC with leadership, 9 AP classes…oh well. He has already committed to another school anyway, but this was the first waitlist, so I still think it stung a little.

Sorry to hear that. Those are great stats. I was honestly a bit surprised with the accept since I really felt there would be plenty of test scores taking precedence. There was a lot of community involvement however I’d expect most applicants are great in all their areas of volunteerism.
