<p>What are the qualities and characteristics of Davidson that appeal to you, and what contributions do you anticipate making as a Davidson student?</p>

<p>List the books you have read in the past year for school or leisure. Place an asterisk by those books required for classes you have taken.

<p>In Davidson’s supplement for the CommonApp, there are three required essays (or short-answer responses, as Davidson.edu calls them), but the only instructions given are: “Please respond to each of the following questions.”</p>

<p>Does anyone know how long these essays should be (well, the first two; the last one is just a list)? Is 250 words reasonable?</p>

<p>I did 237 for one and 333 for the other last year and it worked out for me. Just write what you feel is the right amount - it’s more what you write and how you say what you’re trying to say than the length of it.</p>
