<p>I am transferring to Davis in the fall as a comm. major. I met with my adviser last week on Thursday and she gave me a list of classes to sign up for: Comm 1, Anthropology 4 or Linguistics 1 and an upper division elective. Well I went home to check class schedules and I notice that Anthro. 4 or Ling. 1 isn’t offered in the fall. </p>
<p>I called her office all Friday and she didn’t answer. I also emailed her and haven’t heard anything back. I know she has Monday off for the 4th. My pass 1 registration is on the 5th beginning at 8 AM, so I am a little frantic on what classes to sign up for. </p>
<p>I need an upper division elective and another class. <p>There’s some communication majors on the UC Davis Transfer Group on Facebook that were discussing classes and such, if you’re joined on there. :)</p>
<p>I’m a double major in NPB and comm at davis and i was able to register for LIN 1 during my pass 1 in may. At certain points during the registration process the classes wont show up when you just search for them especially if they are full. However, if you use the Fall 2011 Catalog online that has the CRN’s that fit into your schedule you can just put them in and click add class or in some cases waitlist the class. DONT be discouraged by the waitlist. everytime ive been on one i got the class. Just something to try! I dont remember seeing Anthro 4 available for fall 2011 but i could be wrong.</p>
<p>I’m not sure if you still need help since your pass 1 has come and gone, but I was in similar predicament. I knew Linguistics 1 and Ant 4 weren’t free since I’d been checking UC Davis’ Open course list prior to Orientation. <p>So, I just looked for an elective course I could take (upper division), and a different communication class. Unfortunately, the comm department changed their requirement so you have to take CMN 101 and CMN 102 in sequence before you can sign up for any upper division CMN class 
Or so it said in the email I received…</p>
<p>nonetheless, wait till next quarter to finish up those pre-reqs, and just make sure to get CMN 101 this fall. As for the rest, take advantage of the huge amount of classes offered…I’m thinking about adding a women’s studies/ethnic studies or community development class during pass 2.
