Davis -- Food Science -- Brewing

<p>Hi everyone, </p>

<p>I am interested in going to UC Davis and majoring in Food Science specifically the Brewing Science Option. I am interested in starting up my own brew company and get some microbrews out. I have been doing some reading from Assist and I am a bit confused. Is that major still eligible for TAG with a 3.2? Is the IGETC still recommended? Does anybody know of anybody that has gone this route? Is there anyone out there that is going about transferring with this same major?</p>

<p>Did you read something that said that major was not eligible for TAG? The wine and beer making facilities at Davis look pretty rad. I tasted a couple of the locally made beers that are served at restaurants in town. They were yummy.</p>
