<p>Not really… the only one that I would say is completely alcohol dependent is houseboats. Whole Earth Festival is my favorite: lots of amazing art and crafts to see/buy. Good music. Very positive attitudes… </p>
<p>There is a lot of weed around but it doesn’t bother me too much (I don’t do drugs).</p>
<p>Causeway Classic and Battle for the Golden Horseshoe are the two big football games against Sac State (rivals due to location) and Cal Poly (rivals due to…well I think this was the best game this season), respectively. You don’t really need alcohol or drugs to enjoy either of these, but some people do it of course.</p>
<p>As for “traditions”… they are actually starting to die out. The huge homecoming bonfire this year was cancelled because of environmental impact. Our epic quad battles were stopped due to injury. But where there are new traditions forming… i.e. a “mini santa barbara” in the middle of Davis during Halloween, called “Scared Stiff in Radcliffe”. </p>
<p>I guess some traditions are here to stay, some come and go, and there are always attempts to create new ones.</p>
