My D turns 21 on 7/7/07. Which is pretty cool. Even more cool, it works every year; last year she turned 20 on 7/7/06. There are other birthdays that work, too. Who else has one?

My friend is turning 21 on 10/10/10. My birthday is not that cool haha.

Well, I’m turning 52 on 07/07/07 which is not mathematically interesting, but oh well. And now everyone finally figures out why my screen name is DMD77.

But what’s the “DMD” part mean??

I believe this would work for anyone who has a birth day, birth month and birth year that adds up to 100. Unfortunately, mine add up to 90, so I can’t be in the ‘cool birthday math’ club…

(I think this stuff is fun…remind me sometime to explain an accountant’s trick for detecting number transpositions.)

VeryHappy: my initials are DMD. I’ve used the same screenname since 1992. I have no expectation of secrecy.

wow wellsping,

I think this is really cool. I think from this point on her age will always match the combination of m+d+y

Once the year hit 2000, I can add my month, date, & last two digits of current year to get my age +1.

well Im turning 50 on 10-05- 07- which is when something or other that I was interested in is going to be released or updated or something
Oh!
I remember ![]()
Leopard!
10.5
lol

So do I win an iphone?

Her day, month and year will always add up to her age, as will, for example, the day month and year of anyone celebrating his or her 15th birthday today or his or her 23rd birthday on August 8th.

I think I’ll pretend mine does that, too. This year it means I’m turning 43. ;)

lindsay-
10/10/10??? I think your friend is a little older than 21 ! ![]()
I have a friend whose b’day is 5/3/53 and last year she turned 53. That was cool.
BTW, Happy bday in advance DMD!!!

By the way, DMD77, I had wondered if you were a dentist. Seems you and I both chose to use our initials and birthdays! Great minds think alike (or, alternatively, little things amuse little minds… I dunno!)
Here are a few other things your initials can mean:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMD

Last year I noticed that those of us born in 1953 turned 53 that year (2006)

If you were born in 54 you will turn 54 in 2008.

53+53=106 (2006) 54+54=108 (2008)

So, I’ll have my special year in 2018. :)

Dang, you guys got me messing around with the numbers and all I could think was, “Well, what’s the difference, I’m still 43?” But, wahhhh, it turns out I somehow skipped a year and I’m really 44. If I lost a year, shouldn’t I be younger? I think I’ll go back to plenty-nine.
