Daydreaming about acceptance letters?

<p>Am I the only one who constantly daydreams about the day I will (hopefully) receive an acceptance letter from my first-choice college?</p>

<p>I actually cry about it sometimes. But I guess getting into my top school is for a few other reasons than the school its self…</p>

<p>this kind of daydreaming only sets you up for dissapointment. Don’t attach yourself too much, after all it’s just an institution for education. No, you are not going to be set for life or be anywhere remotely close because you got into ____ University.</p>

<p>I do sometimes. However, usually I’m a pessimist so whenever I’m about to hear news that could either be bad or good, I assume it’s bad news. When decisions come in in April, I’m going to assume the worst so it won’t be as painful.</p>

<p>Maybe I’m a little delusional, but I honestly believe that visualizing positive outcomes and success significantly helps. Plus, if you do something thinking you’re never gonna succeed, you will not put as much effort and dedication into it, and therefore that will affect your chances.</p>

<p>Mhmm, I do that quite a lot when I’m bored at school. Sometimes I dream about rejection letters too and those daydreams definitely suck!</p>

<p>I did it every day last year when I applied to the University of Chicago. My reaction was exactly how I pictured on that day I received the letter. Good luck, everyone!</p>
