Well…daylight savings time ended, but the post times here are still DST posts. Is this something that is charged on the CC end? I checked settings and didn’t see a way to change the time setting to EST.

This is on my IPad app.

I’m showing the correct time but not using app.

I’ve got the correct time on my laptop.

Well…let’s see of its fixed!

ETA…it’s fine now!

And today’s fun factoid: it’s “daylight SAVING time”. No “s”. Not sure how it morphed into “savings”, but I don’t know if I’ve ever heard it pronounced correctly. :)

and it most certainly doesn’t “save” daylight during the months we need it the most :(

^thank you. I do not understand why we have to abide by something that only exacerbates our need for electricity. It gets darker anyway during the winter. Why make it get darker sooner?

I like it being lighter later in the summer. It gets, dark, early in the winter anyway. To me, another hour of dark in the winter isn’t a big deal. But I really LOVE that it doesn’t get dark until 9 in the summer. I would not be happy if it got dark at 8.

I hate it. I think every month starting in October we should reset the clock so it stays light longer. I don’t like coming out of work at 5:15 and it being dark (or almost); makes me feel like the day is shot completely. If I know I still have a couple or a few hours of light left I feel better. It’s all emotional for me.

^same. And I don’t go out to do errands (and thus spend money) when it’s dark, whereas I do go out after work in the summer to do errands because it’s still light out. But it would still be light out after work in the summer without daylight saving.

But I like that it gets light earlier. I hate getting up in the dark.

If we changed the clock every month, you’d never wake up in the dark (depending on the time you wake up of course).

The fall clock changing is one of the saddest days of the year to me because I SO hate the dark evenings - I also will not do any errands/shopping that isn’t critical in the dark, there is less outdoor exercising time, shorter walks for poochie (stay close to home when it’s dark), etc. UGH. Hate all the dark evenings stuck in the house!

On the other hand, I appreciated walking poochie in the near light this morning before work instead of the “dark” we have had at 7am lately.

My method of madness to get me through this period is to look at it this way - the next goal is to get to Dec. 22 - when the days start getting LONGER!!! :)

I’m with abasket. I was already depressed yesterday when it got so dark so early. I tend to hibernate until February. :(

Ha ha, abasket, I just told my friend last night, “I only have to hold on until December 22nd…then I can start counting minutes of additional light!”

It is rather interesting to me. Seems people either love it or hate it.

Me :(

The clock in my car is now telling the correct time.
