Dazed and Confused....

so a friend of mine was accepted with a 3.2, and another denied with a 3.8… anyone else hear of this happening???

Was the 3.8 maybe a 0-6 PharmD applicant or applying to some specific program?

honestly, gpa isn’t really an accurate measure of a student, especially unweighted. some schools are really hard, and have hard-working students with less than 4.0’s, but 30+ ACT… while other schools are really easy, but their top students don’t score as high on national tests. i think national tests like the ACT/SAT are more accurate in predicting a student’s academic success, because the difficulty of classes vary from school to school.

now i’m not saying that gpa’s don’t matter at all, because i think a 2.0 vs 4.0 makes a huge difference, but i’m just saying that it should not be the only factor.

Tufts syndrome?

no it wasn’t phD it was BA!! have you guys heard anything about transfer students?

Lol, thats the first time someone has called a PharmD a phD in front of me. In any case, I have extensive knowledge on Rutgers’ admissions and transfer programs, but not NE. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

haha sorrry i was in a hurry, i diffidently ment pharmD!

I got into the pharmD at NEU and am waiting for my rejection from Rutgers!

congrats!! hopefully ill be there next year too, although im applying as a transfer. what was your gpa?
