DC/Arlington local movers

Any suggestions for a mover? My daughter needs to mover from her studio to a new, yet to be found house or condo this summer. As she doesn’t have a car, we will need to mover to move everything. I am hoping she will get boxes ahead of time and pack up her kitchen and closet, but it is possible she will need the movers to do that. The only furniture she has is a bedroom set, bookshelf, a loveseat and small coffee table; otherwise she just has kitchen, bathroom and a full closet of clothes and shoes!!

Where I live there are hourly movers, but sometimes they turn out to cost more than the regular big name movers. Because her bed requires being dismantled and again put back together (it is a storage bed,) I would like a company that actual might know how to move furniture as oppose to just some people and a truck.

Maybe try calling several realtors in the area and see it they will give you a recommendation. You could also call furniture stores like Pier 1, that don’t have their own delivery department and see if they will give you a recommendation. Good Luck

Go to movinghelp.com. They list many movers with reviews. My D used Minero Bros to help her load her rental truck in DC when she moved to grad school. We also used movinghelp.com to find someone to help her unload the truck when she arrived at grad school. Minero Bros are highly recommended and did a good job. They also have their own trucks if needed.

Chazco [Chazco Van Lines](http://www.chazcovanlines.com) moved my mother in law to this area; they took great care with her and her possessions.

I have checked movinghelp and well as yelp. It is funny that movers on one site are not reviewed on the other. My daughter tends to like yelp, so she will probably go with someone from there and check and see if anyone at work has a suggestion.

I’d recommend Busy Buddies.
