Hey! I’m a poli sci undergrad at UW Madison. I have a good academic record (3.95 GPA) and I have previously interned at two different political offices.
I’d like to intern somewhere “political” or in a pre law type of space. I really don’t want to work for an individual member.
I really want to go to DC this summer. Does anyone have any more ideas of where I should apply?
Check with the ACLU!
If you want politically themed internships that aren’t for a politicians office you should check for two types of things:
- Non-profits. There’s a million and you can find one that you care about.
- There’s a lot of government agencies besides the legislative branch, so you could try to get internships within the judicial or the executive branch. There’s a million agencies and plenty of different levels of courts.
