My family is relocating to the Wilmington area this summer, and my brother is looking at attending either Tower Hill or Tatnall. He has already been accepted at one, and is waiting for a responde from the other.

For those with experience with one or the other, what are the perceived and real differences between the two schools? What are their respective advantages and disadvantages? If he is lucky enough to be afforded the choice between the two schools, how do we determine which he is better suited for?

tatnall by far imo…tower hill has so much pretention with nothing to back it…

I don’t know about their real differences, but Tower Hill certainly has higher prestige value.

Unless you are totally opposed to boarding, I’d recommend St. Andrew’s over both Tower Hill and Tatnall. (Full disclosure, I am an alum). The prestige level is easily equal to or greater than Tower Hills. The placement to top colleges is quite good (my year sent nearly a fourth of the kids to Ivies + stanford, and sent another 25% to top LACs Middlebury, Williams etc). Most importantly the school seems more grounded that most prep schools and is an all around great place to be for 4 years.

There is a U.S news and world report article about the school floating around on the internet. Give it a look.
