Is the CommonApp due BY Jan. 1 or ON Jan. 1 (as in at midnight Jan. 1

hmm…had the sam prob when i sent my ED app…why don’t u just send it tonight…

not ready yet…!

Better make it ready then.

hmm…what do u have left?

Even if it is sent late, you are unlikely to be penalized. However, why tempt fate?

I think tempting fate is a great idea. I think everybody should tempt fate!

well, perhaps not with something so important where fate needn’t necessarily be tempted.

My point exactly. The fate-tempters (as they shall now be called) will improve other applicants’ chances…

haha nice (10c)

I think when they say it is due by Jan. 1 – it means by 11:59, Jan. 1.

The financial aid forms HAVE to be postmarked by Jan. 1 – which really means, December 31. I think that is a bigger problem.

crap!!! i didnt do the fin aid app yet. Post office closes at 4

Yea, the F/A form caught us by surprise as well! It’s only two pages and REALLY easy to fill out. They wanted copies of my mom’s 2004 tax returns and W-2 which she did NOT have available so she included a letter. They said that if you don’t include copies of your tax returns, you MUST include a letter stating why or it would be considered “incomplete”.

By the way, both you and your parents have to sign the form. Print it, complete it and run to the Post Office!

As said above, if it’s a few days late, they’re not going to stiff you. It could have been sent on time but gotten lost in the mail truck, post office, not picked up from a mail drop, etc. and that would be beyond your control, too.

Well, if the parents are divorced you only have to handle the one parent. You take care of the other with the CSS Profile Non-Custodial form thing. Just FYI for everyone.
