Hi, i’m taking a biology course this semester that is extremely demanding and confusing. I’m not quite sure how to handle it. I just took a test and did okay (84) but i’m spending almost all of my free time on this one course because it’s so unorganized and confusing. I’ll explain how it’s confusing.
To start, we have 3 different textbooks- one that we purchased, and 2 that are online PDFs. Each week we are responsible for reading ~150 pages from each of the textbooks. We are also responsible for watching 3 hours of online documentaries/videos each week. We also have weekly essays and assignments.
The problem is that none of the textbooks or videos line up at all- our weekly schedule often looks like :
Textbook 1: pg 150-5, 722-27, 230-8, etc.
Textbook 2 : pg 540-7, 349-57, 320-5, etc.
Textbook 3: pg 200-6, 721-4, 450-6, etc.
As you can probably tell, this makes it extremely hard to be organized within the course and anticipate what comes next.
The workload is also extremely challenging, it usually adds up to around 500 pages a week and 3 hours of videos, and whatever assignments and essays she assigns us.
Does anyone have any advice for dealing with a course like this?
