<p>From what I can tell from the WCAS site, Northwestern does at least have a dean’s list but is there any sort of recognition associated with it as in a certificate or anything?</p>

<p>I got a certificate once, an email another time. It’s basically meaningless.</p>
<p>Parents get a letter, student gets a certificate, and the university sends out a “press release” that can be sent to your local newspaper. (This is for WCAS - other schools at NU may be different).</p>
<p>Hmm, when do they usually send these out? I don’t think my parents or I have gotten anything at all yet…</p>
<p>WCAS sends them out a couple weeks after the quarter ends. I seem to remember the Fall 2009 ones were sent out last week (possibly earlier, I don’t actually recall).</p>
<p>They came in separate mailings over the last few weeks.</p>
