I heard Michigan rejected ALOT of people and surprisingly, many qualified people. My friend had a 33 ACT score and 6 AP classes. [Rejected]
What were your stats if you were rejected? Were you surprised?
THOUGHTS?

Yeah that really sucks. Someone with a 33 ACT and 6 APs (provided they had a decent UW GPA:3.75+) should not get rejected over some of the other admitted students I’ve seen.

The common application seems to be doing a number on otherwise well qualified students. I hope your friend is going to attend a comparable school. Best of luck to here/him.

BTW…virtually everyone who gets into Michigan IS qualified to attend. Many of the top schools have to reject qualified students. Admissions is competitive.
