Debating on proper major

<p>If I am more interested in developing chemicals for daily life like cosmetics and colognes, creams, medications, foods, and purifying water, which of the above two majors am I more interested in? Chemist sounds like the right fit but chemical engineering pays more and has a higher growth rate (which in the long run, because they sound so similar, chemical engineering sounds more enticing). Which one is the better fit for my intentions?</p>
