Dec 1st CR Version II (Brain functions, photography, father artist...) Discussion

@miami24 what was the answer choice you thought was right?
I’m having trouble recalling it I think it was B but I know I didn’t put that sudoku takes longer. This makes me scared…oh God.

for the passage about a father who was a painter what was the other answer choice besides “hypothesis” and “aptness” because I debated with that… :(

Oh wait I think I put that…! Jeez I can’t remember anything

Just for reference, I’ve talked to two friends, who have each gotten 800 Reading on their last two tests. They say the sudoku one was that it converted crossword people to sudoku people. To quote them, “The passage didn’t explicitly state one took more time than the other.”

does anyone no what the no error ID Banjo one was abiout?

Sorry for keep asking about this question, but does anyone know what was the answer to the relationship between passage 1 and two for the muir one? was the answer " Author of Passage 2 purports to experience the same feeling that muir felt on passage 1"?

^pretty sure… also did anyone get B for the last sentece improvement?

While I recall the “Father artist” passage, I don’t remember a passage on brain functions or photography. I do remember a passage on memory and nature, however.

Were there more than two versions or was there a mistake with my test?

@Nibblin it was like
Thomas Pynchon, the author of Gravity’s Rainbow, allowed it to become a play on one condition, that all music was made on one instrument: the banjo.

@thenerdyjew was “it” underlined? I mean it’s pretty unanimous that it was no error, but i’m reading it right now and I’m thinking that “it” might’ve been ambiguous

@teehee, probably not verbatim…

@nerdyjew, do you remember the last sentence improvement question?

The sentence that @Nibblin asked about was no error

@Nibblin ^ I remember it was something really obvious but I forget the actual sentence. Sorry.

Actually the banjo sentence had something like “on the condition that the music be written only for the banjo” and “be written” was underlined

Thomas Pynchon, the author of Gravity’s Rainbow, agreed to allow the novel to become a play on one condition - that all music be made on one instrument: the banjo.

I beliebe that was the banjo sentence.

Which was No error.

If it was “be written” then wouldn’t it be wrong? I think I marked it wrong on the test but I can’t remember the sentence at all.

No, it makes no difference if it was be made or be written.

Also: there was a question with renown underlined. Anyone remember the problem in that sentence?

………………………
