Dec 1st CR Version II (Brain functions, photography, father artist...) Discussion

@satact95 i was actually thinking an example like “thought-provoking questions”

what was the answer to the question about the mexican culture? I remember dexterous, regiment, and multifaceted being in the answer choices.

oh you might be right. darn I was being too definition oriented for these.

“id u guys say his parents were loving and affectionate?”

The lines that were referenced mention nothing of kissing or playing; it was essentially the mom almost ridiculing her husband saying “How can a child know anything?” The text states how the mother protested her husband’s claim that he, the son, will be successful.

The mother did not show symptoms of being loving or affectionate. However, both of them did show signs of being inquisitive and skeptical.

@mas1996 the newton passage alluded to shakespeare, newton, and modern physicists. oh and 20 questions

No. The father kissed him. I vividly remember. It was at the bottom of the first column. I’m still not sure of the answer though. You may be right, but he definitely kissed him.

^ yeah I didn’t think any of the answer choices were really clear-cut.

i think the mother was just playfully teasing. and yes father did kiss him. can’t deny affection there

what’d you get for the one about the morning bird/night owl quesiton about how the author would have reacted

@k0ll3g3: Yeah you’re right :frowning: that was pretty stupid of me to eliminate provoke. What did you guys say the primary purpose of the passage was about the guy who talks about memory was?

The brain passage was so easy! All the questions asked definitions basically.

anyone get competing with crossword?

I got the crossword passage

Yeah it was competing with the crossword I don’t remember the answer though it was different.

@fishingforgold i got the crossword as well

For the 10 min writing passage, what did you guys put for the duck question where the flap their wings or something?

was it a-flapped
or b-flapping

@hotelrwanda, for the mexican culture question I’m pretty sure I put manifold and multifaceted but I’m not sure that it was right, how about you?

flapping,
and what did u get for the second question for the crossword? was it tthat crosswords take more time than sudoku?

@satacer2400 i got the choice with “flapping”

b-flapping; flapped would make it a comma splice
