DECA Related Questions on Common App

<p>Hi, I competed my sophomore year in DECA, an academic Business competition at the state conference and my partner and I got 3rd place in our event, making us international qualifiers. I’m wondering how I should put this on Common App.</p>

<p>-Should it go under Education > Honors because we won an award or under activities as it is a co-curricular activity?
-Should I say we got 3rd place in the state or that we were international qualifiers? Or both? Which sounds the most impressive?
-If I include it in awards, should I designate it as State/Regional or International?
-Should I denote anywhere that it was a partnered event?</p>

<p>I am also having issues with this exact same club and awards. Where did you list that the club was called DECA on the activities page? I can’t even find that. :(</p>

<p>@annazee13 That was another issue I was having - there doesn’t seem to be any place to name your extracurriculars. I wanted to put National Honor Society for example but there doesn’t seem to be any way to without making it sound like independent volunteering.</p>
