December 15th , AKA College Confidential annual crash the site day

I first joined CC Community back in 2007 while awaiting news for my daughter’s college EA results. She , thankfully got a few acceptances on this night, one of which was to her dream school that she attended.

Flash back to 2014 and my youngest got just the opposite. The only school she wanted to attend denied her acceptance. It was so upsetting to her. she was inconsolable , crushed, devastated, etc.

Now two years later, she is happily acclimated to the school she ended up at , has a new boyfriend and filled with a slight dread for being stuck home with her overly dramatic high school friends

Proof that life goes on , despite what many high school seniors will be feeling with the news that may crash this site tonight.

They’re young and inexperienced. They think this is the beginning, or the end, of their lives. We’re old and wise. We know that life goes on, regardless.

My baby kid is drinking her (perfectly legal) glass of wine and says that she is sooooo sorry for the folks who are stressing out now. It. Will. All. Be. Fine! She did not get into Pomona and was so bummed. She went to a small college that starts with a W and only admits the female folk in the suburbs of Boston instead. Waiting for her PhD program acceptance letters… from a big research U that starts with a W.

It will be FINE.
