December 2013 SAT thread

Compromise doesn’t sound right in that context. Fairness is better imo.

Were you talking to me Cossack? What did you put?

This is what I got for the last math section, what do y’all think

1.88
2. X is less than y
3. 15
4. 2001
5. 3
6. 8
7. r square root of 2
8. 2
9. 28
10. 1
11. 1/8
12. 1100
13. 29
14. 60
15. 995
16. .3
17. 1/27
18. 3

It was a grid in

But the definition for compromise is “a middle state between conflicting opinions or actions reached by mutual concession or modification”. Doesn’t that fit the “balance” between perspective and objectivity? I know compromise doesn’t sound like it would fit, but I think the word balance is best fit by compromise rather than fairness.

Fairness is definitely the right word. I’m not in denial over my answer, I just know that it’s right. Compromise doesn’t fit well/at all in the sentence.

an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions.

settle a dispute by mutual concession.

weaken (a reputation or principle) by accepting standards that are lower than is desirable.

These are the three definitions for compromise I found.

Just to all parties; equitable

Having or exhibiting a disposition that is free of favoritism or bias; impartial

These are some definitions for fairness.

I put fairness but compromise could work too. I just hope fairness will be the right answer ;)

what was the “two intersecting lines with variables t, s, x, and 2x: t = 60” question?

It was just asking the angle measure

please any one know what was the curve for june2012 ??

Does anyone remember innocuous in the vocab section? Which question was it on?

What’s the curve for june sat matter? Very curious

@Aguy33 Which question did you miss ? I am hoping a 800 too but I know I can make stupid mistakes too.

I missed the digital prime question I put 991 because I just skipped adding 995 on my calculator and I missed the combination of 5,3, and 2 I put 6 because I just thought that a 5 and 4 twos would give me 12, no idea why I did that I didn’t even count to see that that equals 13, I’m so mad at myself… Hopefully a good curve and I make a 760 or better

I did not miss them. Yeah since the experimental was so hard I think the curve will be good. I think I scored 800 but who knows. I am always disappointed by tests

I feel you! Does it look like I did good cuz I just really need a 720! Just hopin for better

I really want that 800 but i will be fine with a 750+. I hope you 'll get more crossed fingers . How did you remember all those answers. Whenever I finish i jus check and chech

I put it in my calculator! I thought it would be smart so I could share answers, I just didn’t have time for questions, you gotta tell me your score when you get them!

What was the answer to the question about the “scientists mistakenly think about ecosystems” or whatever. The fishing passage.
