Science was impossible. Math was easy. English was a little tricky and reading was standard.
Science and reading were horrendous :((
My son took exam today for the first time cold turkey never having seen a practice test thought the science was easy but then again he reads quantum physics books, however, he got bogged down in reading not having a watch and ran out of time for five of the questions. Math was fine.
Definitely thought the science was really difficult. Other than that it wasn’t that bad, except I felt rushed on the reading. I think this one was definitely harder than the October one.
I had for 72E if that helps anyone.
October Scores:
English: 34
Math: 35
Reading: 31
Science: 28
Composite of 32
I was really hoping to bring my composite up to a 34, but after this science I’m not sure what to expect.
I was so disappointed in my test center. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms, the water fountains were broke, the proctor kept the door open as people talked in the halls despite requests to close it, the floor was wood and one of the proctor was wearing high heels walking around the room which made a bunch of noise, and worst of all we had to take the test in these tiny desks that look like they are for kindergarteners. It was so incredibly uncomfortable.
Science was brutal. I complete guessed on the last 6 questions. Everything before that was easy but so time consuming.
Reading was easy but my proctor started the test two or so minutes before I came back to class because she thought everyone was back and had shortened the breaks. It royally sucked although fortunately, reading is my best area so I’m hoping to get at least a 27
Math was super easy. I skipped two questions because I knew they would be time consuming for but that was it. On the SAT last week I missed A LOT of questions because of time. Even though there’s less time on the ACT and the questions test “harder” concepts, I found this test so much easier.
Was really hoping to bring my composite from a 31 to a 33, but after the reading and science sections I’m not so sure I succeeded…
Is the consensus that most people got destroyed by that science section? Because I got annihilated. I was doing soo well before that too… RIP 33-36 Dreams
Yep, I agree, 100%. Looks like I should already sign up for the February exam xD
math was easy, hoping for a 34 on that to bring up my composite.
science section = VERY effective self confidence killer
especially the second to last passage. i couldn’t find like 2 of the answers.
English was interesting I usually finish with 10 minutes remaining but this came down to the wire!! Glad I got through it tho. Science was brutal I did the trick of doing the 7 question passage last and literally had less than 5 minutes to do it. I didn’t even look at the experiment just the students responses and pretty sure I got like 6 wrong :(. I thought math was super easy. Reading I guessed on the 3 questions for the social science that compared both passages.
Hoping for a GENEROUS curve for the science
English was a bit more difficult. Used to finishing with about 15 mins left but I finished this test with around 5. Math was incredibly easy than previous tests; was able to finish it! Reading pushed me down to the ground with seconds to spare (guessed on a few), and science murdered me. RIP to my predicted 30
math was easy but definitely got cone answer wrong.
This was my 4th time taking and the science section was by far the hardest out of all the tests I’ve had. From my practice tests I usually only guess on a few but this time I coudlve gotten up to 5 or 6 wrong. Math was relatively easy. In reading I had trouble with the very first passage for some reason, but other than that I was fine. English was the same. I was hopeful for a 32, but I’m not so sure now…praying for a generous science curve
YES!
That science tho
This science curve better be the most generous in ACT history. I took the September ACT and the science was significantly easier than this one
