Erica Meltzers Critical Reader and Grammar books are amazing!
800 M, 800 CR, 780 W (80 MC and 8 essay)
literally everything was perfect except for a mediocre essay. I’m not nearly anal enough to retake over 20 points, however, and essays for applications are when I can actually show colleges I’m a good writer as opposed to a rushed, artificial 25-minute essay. So good riddance Collegeboard, I’m done with your tests.
…take that back, I have 6 APs and 3 SAT Subject Tests in May/June
@picats3141 Wow, congrats!
Anybody else still have the “not yet available”?
@facsimilecoterie Haha yeah, hard work really does pay off! Thanks for the tip btw, I’ll definitely try that out next time.
How did you do this time around?
@Periso Yep, I know why though.
@JuicyMango I got 2280 superscore. 2260 single sitting
Novem. : 800 Math 660 Critical Reading 720 Writing
Decem. : 780 Math 710 Critical Reading 770 Writing
Should I retake it since my math score went lower this time around? Superscore would help right? Should I submit both scores even though first time around my CR was horrendous. Would the improvement be recognized and beneficial? Thanks everyone!
@PartyNextDoor She took me from 540 on my practice to 710 in CR over four months and from 720 to 770 in Writing in a week
Congrats to you all!
I got CR 670, M 750, and 660 W
Novem was 630 CR, 630, M, and 690 W
Superscore: 2110
I just like to point out to those who are following this thread and are getting discouraged because your scores aren’t as high as those of anyone else’s, doesn’t mean your score is terrible. I think we all have to come to terms w/ our scores and be thankful for what we have. I wanted a 2200+, but I didn’t get. I’m not sure if I’m going to take the Jan one because it’s literally right after my midterms, but we’ll see. I will be giving the ACT a shot, though. There are finer things to life than scores…
I can see my scores, but the score breakdowns are being delayed. can anyone tell me why? might my scores change?
@juicymango 800- cr 800- w (10 essay) 780- math
superscore: 2400
just do all the tests by printing out the error ID and make sure to categorize each error. then youll recognize the mistakes
@satwreckerZ2 I know this is a bit late but yeah, I am serious and I’m still in shock about it.
(I’m not sure if it’s of much use to me though because I’m a sophomore and will probably have to take the new SAT anyway )
@nervusguy. It seriously depends on what you need. You have a 1470 superscore cr and math which is great and you are over top 90 percent in both. i have 1460-- 800M and 660 CR. i am taking again because I NEED 1490 cr + m to get into an honors program. So there is no question I need it… if I et 30 more points I am in, if I dont get 30 more point, I’m not.
If you are where you need to be to get in your goal program/school, I would not take it over jjust for an ego thing of all three over 700, because you already have an ego thing of all three in top 90%. So that’s my best answer not knowing why you are considering a retake.
time to get ready for subject tests, anyone taking the math 2?
@mochilate1897 I am! I have this used book from my sister. Hopefully going through it might help me with the new SAT a bit and maybe the AMC, haha.
haha nice, im using Dr. chung’s for now, it looks pretty good
I got 780 on CR. I should have studies E.M’s writing. I had the book in my shelf never been touched!
780CR 800M 690WR (70/80, 8) Oh well, I’m done. not taking anymore.
Old SAT includes essay score in 2400 scale, but new SAT does not include its essay in 1600 scale. So how do you think colleges will weigh them fairly? Is it even possible to compare thw two? May be SAT1 won’t play a big role compare to the past years at this time.
@facsimilecoterie Wow that’s an amazing score, and the best possible superscore that one can get lol. Congrats!
I think categorizing the errors would help me a lot. Were you getting 800’s on CR in practice tests? How do I bring up my 740 CR?
@bdragon Did you omit any CR to get 780?
