@krauser126 It depends. I mean the Jan. sign up date is already over, but you could pay the late fee if you really think you can get 20 more points for a 2300. There is a difference between 2300+ and a 2280/2290, albeit a small one.
@krauser126 yeah my bad I missed 6 and omitted 2
@glassflowers Never. I can almost always elminate 2-3 other answer choices. The way I see it, each missed answer (not omit) only has a 1/4 chance of making the guessing penalty kick in.
I got a 2310, with a 710 in reading. Sucks that the reading curve was so brutal.
what is this? my oct cr was 700, so I worked my ass off for all the sections especially cr, and i’m 40 points away from 2300, and then i realize my 760cr could be an 800 with 1 less wrong --
got 750 wr, could be 790 with 1 less wrong -_______-
im 2260 and two mistakes from 2340 -__________________________-
@thetex so two wrong in critical reading was an 800 but three wrong on critical reading was 760!!?!? So I was basically 1 question away from getting a 2380. :c
@thetex 790 is a 10 essay and -1 multiple choice? Then I was 2 dumb para revision q’s away -_-…back to studying I guess :/.
@JuicyMango that’s incorrect. a 10 on the essay and -1 multiple choice is an 800.
A -1 with a 6 essay = 720
I’ve never seen a 6 on an essay
@SATPREP1998 Thanks. I’m gonna go cry now.
@JuicyMango dude, you have a 2290 one-sitting right? That’s an amazing SAT score. Even if it’s superscore, it’s a good score. You don’t have to take it again. Colleges don’t care between a 2290 and a 2400 honestly, it’s a matter of like 6 questions.
guys why was the writing curve so harsh this time around? I thought it would be a lenient curve. I missed 5 with an 8 essay and got a 640. With a normal curve the charts say that it should be a 650
@JuicyMango Nah, I got 8e, -1
8e, -0 was a 790.
@ratclown 10 points below normal is hardly harsh
my friend got a 670 in math with just 4 wrong in november, that’s harsh
um I think -4 in Nov was supposed to be about 720 or something
because even -1 was 800, and -2 was 770.
@Noob99 I missed 4 math in November and got 730.
@SATPREP1998 DS took the Nov sitting with ZERO prep. He didn’t follow the formula for a high essay score. If only he could have managed a 9 on the essay.
On the Dec test DS missed 3 and scored a 710.
@Drewax11 are you sure you omitted 2 on math and got 4 incorrect and still got a 690? I did the exact same thing, but i got a 680!
