***December 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

@ratclown I think so far, the consensus on this one is there’s no error. Most are discussing whether “seeking” is wrong but “offered by” isn’t quite debated on

@Wreckdecembersat I think obsolete, garish, riblad, banal. Which one is correct,?

Banal is correct

@Wreckdecembersat I put central issues of the passage

Did anyone have a writing experimental?

Idk the question, but one of the 2 blank sentence completions was about a journalist/writer possibly? And I put “appropriate…____” . Pretty sure it’s wrong ?

@smileymoose Thanks for your reply! what’s the original word??

@smileymoose
It should be the choice with dispense in it, B I think

what did anyone get for the sentence completion about someone naming this time pd as “the greatest american century?”
i was choosing btw a choice that had
appropriated…(i forgot the second word)
and extolled…anticipated

@cwang9264
i put extolled_anticipated

@Wreckdecembersat wasn’t there another passage that was asking what the rhetorical question served the purpose for?
I put that procrastination is hard to explain

what are the other choices for the “accurate but incomplete” problem?
and also for the question that has answer choices “frame a discussion” and “earth’s spectacular blablabla”?
Does anyone remember any detail?

@mochilate1897 yeah there was but I can’t remember

Because I remember that one of the rhetorical questions on the other passage was definitely like an anticipation of the audience’s response, I think it was the passage about photographs and the texans

But for the procrastination one, it was definitely the main ideas of the passages

@mochilate1897
OMG!!! YES!!! YES!!! That one is the experimental!!! I had the same experimental as you did :slight_smile:
Yeah I think I mixed these two problems up. I definitely put anticipation of the audience’s response for that rhetorical question on the Texan photography passage. Is there such a choice for the rhetorical question on the procrastination passage? if no, then I must have put “central issues!”

who here agrees that the SAT has some of the most thought provoking passages, and the collegeboard just kills the whole beauty to reading and thinking by forcing us to answer two-dimensional questions on such animated reading XD

@I got the exact opposite answers :frowning:

@Wreckdecembersat i got the same answers as u

@ambitionsquared good luck to you then!
