Deciding on Comm College or Purdue

Hey, I received my college admissions letters a few weeks ago, and to say the least, I was not happy. I was rejected by Babson and Lehigh, and started to think about going to Santa Monica College to transfer to UCLA. But later, I was notified that I was accepted into the Purdue School of Management. Now I’m not sure…what would you guys’ advice be? Should I go to comm college to transfer, or just take the safe route and attend Purdue? My grades aren’t all that bad, I’m a 3.6 GPA student…and hopefully I can keep that up in college life. Any advice?

Thanks, Kai.

going to a CCC has probably an equal if not better chance of transferring into the Cal school system. Plus, it would be a (hell of) lot cheaper.

If your heart is set on UCLA, I would suggest that you attend SMC. I went there as well btw. What you can do now is contact SMC and enroll in the honors program, since you have a pretty good hs gpa.

There are guaranteed admission programs to UCLA at SMC. You would save a lot money, considering you would be paying out of state tuition at Purdue. Also if you do very well at SMC, you could even attend schools other than UCLA, such as Cornell, Columbia, etc.

are you a freshman/transfer?
if you want to transfer to UCs later,i would say go to SMC.
either way,doesnt really matter.
you want to spend less money in calif or hv a “real” college life in indiana…
both can give you good chances to transfer later.
