Deciding on master's fellowships -- need advice!

I’ve been accepted to master’s programs at Univ of Chicago and Univ of Michigan. Chicago has awarded me a great scholarship and is tops in their respective field. Michigan is almost as good, and has awarded me a little bit more money. Michigan has also accepted me as a “fellow”. I would be working with about a dozen other students under one or two professors.

When everything is considered (city life, academics, etc.) I am inclined to attend Chicago. Now that I have been awarded the position of fellow at the other program I am on the fence and can’t read my gut feeling. I just wonder what I would be passing up if I didnt opt for the fellowship.

Any advice?

If the program in Michigan is better ranked than Chicago’s, you may be able to talk Chicago into upping their offer. At the end, go with the program that best gets you where you want to go.

Congrats - Michigan and Chicago are both amazing places to be and I’m not sure you can really go wrong either way. Try to pick where you are going to be happiest. Btw what field is the Masters in?
