Deciding which Indiana university is right for me

I am struggling to decide which Indiana university is best for me, as I would currently like to major in computer science, but am not positive about my choice just yet. I would like the ability to study music theory and composition in addition to cs, and an Indiana school which provides great programs for both majors is the ideal. So far I have looked at IU and Purdue. The cs program is much better at purdue it seems, but I am not positive in my decision to pursue it. Are there other colleges I should consider?

Most public universities with CS programs should be fine. There’s nothing wrong with going to IU for CS, if IU also offers the music classes you’re interested in.

IU’s Jacob School of Music is highly competitive admissions, one of the top music schools in the country. Research the availability to cross-major and how competitive admission into specific departments may be. It may be easier to do music at Purdue, though harder to get into CS at Purdue.

You might look at IUPUI as an alternative.
