Decision is in!!

They got my stuff by November 6th (or at least that’s what it says under ‘Application Date’ in the wolverine access). It’s been 10+ weeks, wheerreee is my decision?

Same here… hmmmmm…

SO…my son also had his appl.completed by late Nov/early Dec. and DID NOT get an email yesterday saying decisions are in, does that mean that he is likely rejected or deferred? I don’t want to read more into this than necessary but curious how it works. Thank you!

No, not everyone got a decision.

hoedown, you seem to have info regarding admissions. Are you a current student? My daughter’s app was complete 11/26 and she still hasn’t heard either. (OOS, COE). 3.7 Mich GPA 2120 SAT

When my son called yesterday, they said none had gone out since returning from the holidays. But he called early, before school. He was also directed to email his counselor as to when he could expect a decision. This was the same person he emailed on December 14th as to whether he was ER. The response on the 14th was just the pasting of the line that if your credentials are marked rec’vd by the 10th of November you are considered ER. His were marked received on November 3, but he knew and stated in the email they were not received before the 31st, well not the teacher’s rec anyway. The following week they told my son that he wasn’t considered ER, because of his teacher’s rec. so he’s thinking another email would be useless.

Hoedown if you have a connection to admissions, please let us know what is really going on.

Sorry for the stupid question; I’m new to CC. What does OOS mean?

Haha, oh nevermind I got it. Sorry.

Son was deferred in mid-December and accepted this past Thursday. He received an email from the Admissions office and the acceptance was also posted on his page at wolverineaccess. His college advisor spoke with the Admissions office at the beginning of last week and was told that 60% of the incoming class had been filled as of that date.

Out of state.

My understanding is that they elected not to penalize a COMPLETE application if it missed the deadline by a few days. That is, if you sent everything in, but it didn’t get there until a few days after the ER deadline because of the mail, you would still be considered ER.

If this was not universally applied, I don’t know the reason why.

I can’t tell anyone when decisions will go out. The decision on how many to admit in a given week (if any) are made week-to-week and if I could foresee the future I’d be at the horsetrack, not on CC.

Sadly, the same applies for counselors. They may be able to give you a rough guess, but it would be just a guess. Everything is carefully evaluated each week in terms of application flow, application quality, and yield to date.

does anyone know when the next round of decisions are coming out? i’m assuming it’s tomarrow, as tomarrow’s 6 weeks past dec. 21st.

i missed the early action deadline by 5 days :(

my materials were all received by december 3. i still haven’t heard back yet, but one of my friends whose materials were received november 27 or 28 found out last week

any out of state deferred heard yet?

Still nothing for my son. Last item, teacher rec received Nov 3rd. Still nothing! Every time he calls they say his application is ready for review. Does anyone know an email address of someone who can look into this? A rejection would be better at this point than getting the run around.

Could it be time to just give up on it? My son had a 2 hour delay and went to live help this morning. He tells me he recognized the name of the couselor, he’s been on it enough. As he typed his comment he was " disconnected. "

“any out of state deferred heard yet?”

That’s what I was hoping to find out in here :p. One of my friends applied ED and was deferred… I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

So when can I expect my decision if I applied around mid-january?

OOS and deferred…no news for my D yet either.

me too… congrats
